SocialNote was built by a licensed therapist and a senior software engineer — a husband-and-wife team who set out to solve a problem one of them lived every day.
We are a family of 4. Bryan is a senior software engineer, and I am a licensed therapist in private practice. Our daughters, now 6 and 3, are our why — we already know they will be the future leaders of SocialNote.
We are both from Texas; me from McAllen and Bryan from Nacogdoches. He is a left brain and I am a right brain. He is the calm and I am the storm. We couldn't be more opposite, and yet we balance each other out in every way.
I've been in the mental health field for over a decade. This is the work I wanted to do since I was little — I always knew I wanted to help people and give back, based on my own childhood and lived experiences.
Having a partnership with such a balance in skills and temperament inspired us to join forces and create something amazing, based on a pain point I had experienced in my career. I'm grateful that he is just as passionate about helping young people — who are our future — as I am.
